Birthday: December 8, 1975    Hometown: Bakersfield, California

Kevin Harvick started racing in a go-cart given to him for graduating Kindergarten and competed in go-kart racing for 10 years. In 1997 he made the committment to racing full time and never looked back. Three years later his aggressive driving style catapulted him into Nationwide series. His success at the Nationwide level and the unfortunate passing of Dale Earnhardt, Sr. resulted in a promotion to Sprint Cup racing in 2001.

2001 continued to be an eventful year for Kevin. He married his "best friend" DeLana, won two Sprint Cup series races, and the Nationwide Series Championship. NASCAR history was made when he became the first driver to run a full schedule in both the Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series Championship.

His success has continued on the track with a second Nationwide championship in 2006, a Daytona sweep in 2007, and an All-Star Challenge win in 2007. Harvick has appeared in three consecutive Sprint Cup for the Chamnpionship and had his best ever (4th) finish in 2008.
