Jeff Gordon has been a racer since he began sliding around a makeshift track at the age of 5. He soon was racing quarter midgets and moved on to sprint cars when he was only 13 years old. Gordon started racing stock cars before his twentieth birthday.

Rick Hendrick signed Jeff Gordon after an impressive showing at a Busch race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Gordon has been racing for Hendrick Motorsports in NASCAR's top series for 16 years now. He has won 4 championships, more than 80 races and won a race in each of fourteen straight seasons.

Charitable causes are very important to Gordon. He founded the Jeff Gordon Foundation in 1999 which supports charities that assist children in need.
